Witch's Night out...coming soon!

If you have never been to Witch's Night Out at Gardner Village, YOU NEED TO! I love my less-than-part-time jobs at gardner village and have loved working when its Witch's Night Out. Everyone dresses up and there is music, food, sales, etc. Its October 24th and 25th and I am already getting excited. They have the whole village decorated in fall/halloween decor with pumpkins and the Witches... so fun! In case you are wondering... I work at Posh Frippery and the Cottage Retreat Day Spa doing hair!

Celebrating 12 months of absolute JOY!!

Our baby turned ONE YEAR OLD last week! Its been so much fun and gone by so fast. Here are the pictures (which is what everyone really wants to see anyway!) The first ones are from a joint b-day party with Abby and my Dad (their birthdays are one week apart...and a few years) then the rest are her actual birthday. HAPPY BIRHTDAY ABBY!! WE LOVE YOU

She is such a cheeser!

Birthday morning!

Lunch with Dad!

She was so excited to get presents (and eat them!)

Being domestic!

I have been having so much fun lately learning some new tricks! Thanks to my mom, Adam's mom and Chaundelle I have learned to sew Abby a skirt, can peaches and pears, and make Abby a cute Elmo birthday cake! Here is my proof... :o)

Seriously !?!

Am I the only idiot who can't figure out backgrounds? When ever I do the cutest blog on the block it never shows up for me. Can anyone else see it? The little box is there but no cute background! I am so confused!!!

Miracles happen!

(Not sure how to rotate this picture sorry!)

Just 20 days after our little Abigail broke her femur, she has completely healed and is now free of her splint! Last Wednesday when I went to take her in to get the hard cast on the doctor said that she was healing really well and that if we could stand her splint one more week then we could take it off and be done! Well somehow we were able to manage the smell of urine (sorry but its true, the splint wrapped her whole leg and up around her tummy so it smelled!) and it paid off! Wednesday the 20th it came off for good! Abby is so traumatized by all this that the second the doctor even came in she started screaming. She screamed the whole time the doctor took it off and didn't stop until I was holding her on the way out the door. She has been so happy without it! She just keeps laughing and jabbering and rubbing her little legs together. We have been so lucky and blessed that this was not an 8 week ordeal! Here are some cute pictures I found! (Oh... side note, no bill from the ambulence ride yet but the emergency bills alone are enough to make me gag! Oh well, I am just grateful she is okay!)

Abby's new thing is to switch binkis at nap time

Here she is with Adam reading. She loves stories!

Does anyone have an oompa loompa costume for halloween?

Another cute one with Daddy!

Does anyone know how much it costs for an ambulence ride?

I don't but I will tell you when we get the bill!!! So Friday the 1st I was holding Abby and being inspired by the Olympics, she decided to dismount from my arms. Well her landing was not a perfect 10! She fell and broke her leg! You couldn't tell just by looking at her so I held her and tried to get her to sleep, thinking she was just shocked. After awhile that didn't work so I called my doctor and brought her in. They couldn't tell if anything was wrong but poor Abby kept on crying. SO along comes the ambulence and brought Abby and I to primary children's for x-rays. Adam was at his friend's house in bountiful so he just met us up there. It took forever... after like a million x-rays we finally found a break on her left femur. We were so lucky to have my dad and brother come up to the hospital to help give Abby a blessing. Let me tell you, it was a sight for sore eyes seeing my dad and brother come into the hospital room dressed in their shirts and ties to give her a blessing! I am so grateful to have the priesthood in my life and in my daughter's! So Adam, my dad, and my brother Chris gave her a blessing. Soon after Adam's parents came up too. What a night, that finally ended around midnight. Thanks to my mom too for spending the night with us watching Abby so Adam and I could get some sleep! SO she is in her splint now and tomorrow she goes in for her cast. (I am hoping for a pink one!) Then she will wear that for around 6 weeks or so. She is doing great though and is moving around like the cast isn't even there! Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive through this.

Surprise...

More cute pictures of Abby. I took these today of her. She is now ten months old. I can't believe how fast she has grown. She is so funny and thinks everything is funny too! She is always smiling and laughing. What a sweetheart she is. The one in her bouncy chair makes me laugh because she literally jumps on her toes! She hardly ever jumps flat-footed.
